This is the installation art work called ‘Metaseosa Seobeol, an award-winning piece by Korean artist Jeon Su-cheon.
Metaseosa Seobeol is a visualization of the 2000-year-old capital city, Seoul, throughout the ages.
Even at first sight, it seems big, doesn’t it?
To be exact, it is 40 meters long and 24 meters tall.
Even though it is big, it’s not intimidating.
That may have been deliberate on the artist’s part.
These silver pipelines stretching from the ground into the air represent 'Roads of Myth', a dynamic myth about Seoul.
Made of white balloons, 'Whirlwind of Life' symbolizes the constant communication between the public and the city government.
Cloud-shaped 'Lights of Hope' represent the hope of Seoul citizens.
How does it feel to you?
